I'm very proud to say that my work is part of the limited edition collection in collaboration with British Designer Olivia Rubin and Etsy UK. The collection features 6 other sellers who have made a rainbow inspired range of homeware products.

In May 2019 I was contacted by Etsy to ask if I would like to be part of the collection, and a few weeks later I was off to Etsy headquarters in London to meet with Olivia and the team to discuss ideas. Over the next few months I was busy making lots of the placemat sets in time for the launch on the 1st October.

Known for her colourful palette and sequined skirts, fashion designer Olivia Rubin has long toyed with the idea of a beautiful, pastel-hued homeware range. “It has always been my dream to bring my prints and colours to life in a homeware collection,” she says. “So, I’m ecstatic to bring a little bit of my rainbow happiness into my first ever home and living range.”

It’s the first collaboration of its kind for Olivia. Having her choice of Etsy UK sellers to work with, Olivia handpicked seven businesses whose style and ethos worked well with her own, and they then set about creating the range together. “I was instinctively drawn to the products and design style of each seller I’m working with,” she says, from Brighton-based Spark and Bell’s custom-made lighting to Hopscotch London’s scented candles, who have created gorgeous candy cane, gingerbread and cinnamon-inspired scents with Olivia, just in time for Christmas gift planning.

“I worked really closely with each seller. After picking the sellers, we met for brainstorming sessions and then I monitored each stage of development, to make sure the collection reflected me as a designer but equally didn’t compromise the aesthetic of each seller. From the festive greetings cards and notebook created with Lucy Says I Do, to the plates designed with Febbie Day Ceramics and placemats / coasters by Kate Chesters Art, I can’t wait to have the whole range in my own home!”

It’s a versatile collection with both bold bursts and sherbet shades. As well as the rainbow-inspired lighting and stationery, cosy candles and dining range, you’ll also find lilac, mint green and bubblegum pink reusable ceramic travel mugs produced with Helen Rebecca Ceramics, and pastel-perfect ombre cushions created with hand-dyed, hand-painted textile maker, Sami Couper. A dream in technicolour!

Together, the range forms a unique interiors collection designed to bring joy to the home this Christmas.
